Globalstar Handset Programming Settings

Access handset programming by following the steps below: 

For GSP-1600: 

• Enter “Menu” and “8”
• Enter 8 zeros “00000000”
• Press the “#/down arrow key”
• Enter “4” (G* Svc Pgm)
• Enter “1” (Dir Number)
• Enter the MDN# and then click “OK”. MDN#=Satellite Phone #.
• Enter “2” (IMSI Prog)
• Screen should display IMSI Type: MIN based click “OK”
• Screen should display Enter MCC: MCC- 310 (USA) or MCC-302 (Canada), then click “OK”
• Screen should display Enter MNC: MNC- 00 click “OK”. (Always “00”)
• Screen should display Enter MSIN: MSIN: enter the MSIN click “OK”.
• Enter “4” (Home Gateway).
• Home Gateway: 4 (Smiths Falls) click “OK”. Refer to chart below.
• Home GT Channel: 83 (Smiths Falls) click “OK”. Refer to chart below
• Press “END” twice to exit programming.

 For GSP-1700: 

• Enter “Menu” and “800”
• Enter 8 zeros “0000000”
• Press “2” Dir Number
• Enter the MDN# and then click “OK”. MDN#=Satellite Phone #.
• Press “3” IMSI Prog
• Screen should display IMSI Type: MIN based click “OK”
• Screen should display Enter MCC: MCC- 310 (USA) or MCC-302 (Canada), then click “OK”
• Screen should display Enter MNC: MNC- 00 click “OK”
• Screen should display Enter MSIN: MSIN: enter the MDN# click “OK”.
• Press the “#/down arrow key”
• Press “4” Home SP
• Screen should display Home SP, MCC:302
• Screen should display Home SP, MNC:_00
• Screen should display MCC Name, MCC:302, Canada
• Screen should display MNC Name, MNC:00, GSTAR CA
• Press “5” Home GW
• Home Gateway: 11 (High River) click “OK.” Refer to chart below
• Home GW Channel: 33 (High River) click “OK.” Refer to chart below
• Press “Power Key”
